Formed in 2017 from a shared passion for the music of Robert Schumann, Duo Syncopa is woven together by the artistry of violinist Yue Qian and pianist Tomomi Sato. Winner of the Beverly Hills National Auditions, they present a wide variety of programs throughout the United States in the 2024-2025 season.

With both members having studied at USC and Juilliard, the duo has worked with renowned teachers, including Kevin Fitz-Gerald, Yura Lee, Bing Wang, Ronald Copes, Sylvia Rosenberg, and Jonathan Feldman.
